About The Artist
A florist, designer and maker Leila Sanderson is a multi-skilled creative. Her one-of-a-kind rosettes were born when she came across the process in an old French book. The rotational symmetric design (cockade) is an 18th century millinery technique. Each rosette is made by intricately folding premium vintage and US grosgrain ribbons, anchoring them with stitches and knots.
