Drawing on the embroidered folk art of her Hungarian heritage Morgana Celeste has created her own visual motifs that represent the rituals and memories embedded in keepsakes shared between lovers.

About The Artist

Morgana Celeste is a multidisciplinary creative who usually works with paper, plaster and cement. The combination of these materials unifies her love of materiality and composition, Morgana creates vibrant, tactile three-dimensional works that sit somewhere between painting and sculpture. She first began experimenting with paper as both canvas and material in 2019 with her first two shows going ahead online during the many lockdowns in Melbourne.

Breaking out of her usual practice for this piece, Morgana has explored more traditional painting techniques on canvas.
